                           Titanium Clad Copper Bi-Metal Plate Sheet Bar Rod

Copper is a good conductor of electricity. Titanium has good corrosion resistance in many chemical mediums. Composite materials consisting of copper and titanium, it is self-evident, will be the first to obtain good applications in the electrochemical industry.

The copper titanium transition joint was used in the electrolytic nickel industry. In this way, the resistance of the original transition joint with mechanical connection is greatly reduced. Moreover, because of the high corrosion stability of the joint, the service life of the joint is increased by more than 3 times.

Titanium Clad Copper plate bar transition joint has been applied in alkali industry. Titanium-copper composite pipe rod is a new type of electrode material for alkaline electrolysis cell. It can quickly replace the traditional graphite electrode with its excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The main specifications are: 32mm * H14mm palace lantern type and 27mm x 27mm square two kinds.

Titanium Clad Copper rod bar has also been applied to other electrochemical industries.

Titanium Clad Copper bar rod technology is valuable to make Titanium and copper in the structure of a close combination, like skin-and-meat bonding, such a combination not only does not increase the resistance of current, it can make copper normally play its inherent conductivity, but also does not affect the original excellent conductivity of copper foundation. The following four advantages are added:

1. Support strength:
The yield strength and Tensile-Shear Strength of titanium-copper clad rod are 135 Mpa and 180-260 Mpa respectively, which fully meet the requirements of production design and achieve the supporting performance of anode in operation.

2. Corrosion resistance:
The outer layer of titanium clad copper bar rod is directly in contact with the electrolyte, and the pure titanium of the outer layer has excellent corrosion resistance (see table below). Its service life is more than 10 times longer than that of the electrodes of other materials.

3. Save energy:
Because the explosion + rolling process adopted can make Ti-Cu composite tightly without delamination, greatly reduce the pollution of electrolyte and plating solution, greatly reduce the current resistance to 7.77×10-6Ω, so that the current more smoothly, thus saving energy consumption.



4. improving environmental protection:
Because the explosion + rolling process can make titanium copper completely close composite, do not produce delamination caused by liquid pollution, because the outer layer of titanium corrosion resistance, do not produce oxidation caused by air and environmental pollution, but also greatly reduce the overall environmental pollution. We can produce titanium coated copper and zirconium coated copper with different specifications according to user requirements.
