High-strength heat-resistant aluminum copper alloy 2C19

2C19 heat-resistant aluminum-copper alloy can maintain good performance for a long time above 200°C. And it can meet the working conditions above 300ºC in a short time. The high-temperature performance of 2C19 heat-resistant aluminum-copper alloy is far superior to that of high-strength 7XXX aluminum alloy. It can meet the needs of high-speed missile shells, supersonic aircraft skins and structural parts for light-weight, high-strength and high-temperature-resistant structural materials in aerospace fields. Partial replacement of titanium alloy materials can achieve a weight reduction effect of 20% to 30%.

- 2C19 alloy has good weldability, and the weld strength can reach 70% of the base strength.
- 2C19 aluminum alloy can be subjected to different forms of surface treatment, such as conductive oxidation, micro-arc oxidation, and anodic oxidation. After testing, the surface hardness of 2C19 alloy after micro-arc oxidation treatment reaches 1220HV.

The picture above shows the temperatures to which different parts of a supersonic commercial aircraft (SCT) may be heated during flight. Conventional heat-resistant aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, and carbon/graphite fiber composite materials can all be selected to make the fuselage of a supersonic transport aircraft. However, considering the complexity and cost of fuselage manufacturing, heat-resistant aluminum alloys are far superior to other materials.
