5005 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheets
Aluminium alloy 5005 contains nominally 0.8% magnesium. It has medium strength, good weldability, and good corrosion resistance in marine atmospheres. It also has the low density and excellent thermal conductivity common to all aluminium alloys. It is the most commonly used grade of aluminium in sheet and plate form.
Corrosion Resistance 5005 has the same high resistance to general corrosion as other non heat treatable aluminium alloys. It also has the higher resistance to slightly alkaline conditions common to the 5000 series alloys. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of 5005 is similar to that of 3003.
When anodised to improve corrosion resistance, the film on 5005 is clearer than on 3003, and gives better colour match with 6063 architectural extrusions.
5005 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheet make it an ideal material which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use thanks to its excellent characteristics. Other names for used aluminium checker plate are diamond plate, tread plate or Durbar floor plate, checkered plate.

Attractive pattern ensures slip resistance
During production, the pattern is applied to the plate by forming rolls which are pressed onto the plate with a large force. In doing so, the bottom of the plate remains plain. It is not possible to emboss the aluminium plate subsequently.
Due to the diagonally finned structure, the plate becomes slip-resistant which is why it is also suitable for use outdoors and in wet areas. In addition to the finned structure, there are many other shapes and patterns which provide the same characteristics.
Depending on the type of plate, 1 to 5 bars are arranged next to each other, forming a checked pattern. It is differentiated between 1 bar(diamond), 2 bar, 3-bar and 5-bar patterns.

Application
A. 5005 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheet has good skid resistance. So it is usually used in the loading ramps, trench covers, dock flooring, stair treads and even for the car, truck, ambulance and fire truck.
B. It has the decorative function, so it can be used as decoration wall panels, cabinet and ceilings.
C. Because of the anti- corrosion, it can be used in the chemical industry, or in the decoration of the ship and port facilities.
