Aluminium Alloy 3105 is an essentially 98% pure aluminium alloy with minor additions for strength. It is used in general sheet metal works requiring greater strength than is provided by 1000 series alloys. Most commonly this alloy is stocked in Chequered plates. It is not hardenable by heat treatment. Corrosion resistance, formability and welding characteristics are excellent.
AA3105 is typically used in: Vehicle Bodies,Refrigerated Trucks, Ambulances, Cold Rooms,Anti skid flooring, Ship platforms, Stair Treads.

Attractive pattern ensures slip resistance
During production, the pattern is applied to the plate by forming rolls which are pressed onto the plate with a large force. In doing so, the bottom of the plate remains plain. It is not possible to emboss the aluminium plate subsequently.
Due to the diagonally finned structure, the plate becomes slip-resistant which is why it is also suitable for use outdoors and in wet areas. In addition to the finned structure, there are many other shapes and patterns which provide the same characteristics.
Depending on the type of plate, 1 to 5 bars are arranged next to each other, forming a checked pattern. It is differentiated between 1 bar(diamond), 2 bar, 3-bar and 5-bar patterns.

Application
A. 3105 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheet has good skid resistance. So it is usually used in the loading ramps, trench covers, dock flooring, stair treads and even for the car, truck, ambulance and fire truck.

3003 Aluminum tread checkered plate sheets
3003 Aluminum is alloyed with 1.20% manganese, which increases the strength of 3003 over commercially pure aluminum (1100 series). 3003 has excellent workability, weldability, and good corrosion resistance. It is used for drawing, forming, spinning, fuel tanks, sheet metal works and other applications that require moderate strength for an aluminum with good weldability. H14 designates the temper, and means that 3003 has been strain hardened and partially annealed. In this condition, 3003 can be easily formed.
