With the rapid development of lightweight automotive in the world, safety, energy saving and environmental protection have become common goals pursued by many automotive manufacturers. The lightweight of automotive materials is one of the important ways to reduce automotive weight and energy consumption. Because of its medium strength, corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, easy processing and forming, and good specific strength, 5754 aluminum plate sheet is used as the first-choice material for all-aluminum body structures.

With the increasing application scope, different auto parts put forward different requirements on the performance and specifications of 5754 sheets. Parts with high deformation requirements often use H111 or O state, while parts with high strength requirements use H22 state. So far, 5754 aluminum alloy sheets in different states are the main materials used in the automobile manufacturing industry (car doors, molds, and seals) and canning industry. 5754 aluminum alloy is a typical Al-Mg alloy, which is mainly used for automobile body inner panels and structural panels. In order to meet the needs of lightweight automobiles, 5754 aluminum alloy has been gradually used instead of stainless steel to produce automobile sealing strip skeletons. The tensile strength is required to be 225 N /mm2 ~ 265 N /mm2, the yield strength is not less than 140 N /mm2, and the elongation is required. The rate is not less than 14%. The product not only needs to have a certain strength, but also should have a higher elongation and formability.
